It is also a cliché but very true that when you look at some dogs, they look like they owners. So it is not very surprising when you hear that dogs and humans can share some of the same allergic reactions. Did you know that you can have the same bad reactions to foods as your dog can of vice versa? For instance dairy produce can bring out on allergic reactions in both humans and dogs. One of the many difficulties associated with dog allergies is that sometimes it’s very difficult to spot whether or not a dog is suffering from an allergy. There are still some signs that you can look for.

Allergies in dogs

Dogs start to show an allergic reaction in their skin. They will get rashes etc. It’s simple… if your dog has a dog allergies , the dog will be scratching more than usual. There could be much more frequent scratching than would be common. With a flea allergy, the dog will either scratch at a certain spot or will start to chew at the one area of its body. Fleas can cause an allergic reaction by their saliva, this is when the flea is sucking blood from the dog. If you notice any unusual itching you should take your dog up to a veterinarian straightaway.

Dog allergies and their masters

Unfortunately there are pet owners who are allergic to or can become allergic to their animals. Sometimes the decision of many pet owners with dog allergies is to get rid of the dog straightaway. You can do certain things which will at least mitigate some of the symptoms and effects of dog allergies without getting rid of the dog. Confining your dog to only a certain number of rooms in your home is one of the things. Your bedroom is your place to sleep, don’t allow your dog to sleep in your bed.
